I saw my first cigar box guitar in 2009 and decided to build one. I do not play and knew nothing about building stringed instruments. It was a fun exercise and I was pretty happy with the results. I was quickly surprised at the positive response I received from friends and family. One thing led to another and eventually I started a little parts business focused on the needs of CBG builders.

Tabak is a 3 string build using a Tabak Especial cigar box. This build featured our new Keys Easy Fretter fret board. The pickup cover and knobs are made with a composite material. This build features a Micro Pup pickup with a 500k harness.
